NIVEA MEN Shaving Cream Review | Men’s Best Shaving Cream (Budget-Friendly)

NIVEA MEN Protect & Care Moisturizing Shaving Cream | Best Shaving Cream

I have learned to love the Nivea scent since I was a kid and anything bearing the Nivea name or scent would pique my interest enough to try it. This feeling is even more strong when the product is a men’s product.

Nivea regular shaving cream for men was something I wanted to try and review for some time. Nivea has a few variations of men's shaving cream. Today I will look at the NIVEA MEN Protect & Care Moisturizing Shaving Cream.

Its blue package is a classic and showcases the Nivea logo and design. I was looking for where it was made, but it was not clear. I am assuming this is made in Germany, but I may be incorrect.

Some of the Nivea Men shaving cream ingredients are Aloe Vera & Pro-Vitamin B5. My skin felt creamy and supple while shaving with Nivea Men shaving cream.

I used a shaving brush and double-edge razor. I found its lather to be not too overwhelming and just right. The razor glide was very smooth and kept my face moisturized throughout the shave. I felt the Nivea Men shaving cream game to be a balanced shave without too much lather or heavy fragrance, which may be a common thing for other shaving creams.

One thing no other shaving cream can beat Nivea Men shaving cream on is its price. I saw it priced at $4 CAD in the past, but now it ranges around $4.50 to $6.50, which is a bargain for a quality shaving cream.

I am happy with Nivea Men shaving cream and you can’t go wrong with this product. This is not a paid or affiliated review.

Why Is My Monitor Not Detecting My Computer?

How to Fix Laptop Not Detecting Monitor

A common problem I face with my laptop and monitor is that all of a sudden, my monitor fails to detect my laptop. I have a small work space, so I need to switch back and forth between my two work laptops and my personal laptops. This particular issue happens only with my personal laptop.

There is an easy fix for this, which only applies when you have checked everything else and can’t find any other problem. For example, you checked your connections, your dongle or hub is not overheated, your HDMI cable is working properly, and so on.

This issue happens to me every two to three weeks and here is my fix, which is super simple.

First, turn off your monitor, unplug it from the power outlet, then unplug your power input cable from the monitor as well. Turn off your laptop or computer. Wait for one minute. Then start connecting power to the monitor, turn it on, and turn on your laptop or computer.

This sounds too good to be true, but this works for me most of the time and my monitor starts working again. I believe the reason behind this is that when you unplug, keep your monitor off for one minute and restart, it registers a new session and recognises the laptop.

If the above solution does not work, that means the problem lies somewhere else. For example, in the past my dongle got burnt and I had to change to a new dongle to make my monitor work again.

Best Free Video Editing Software - VideoProc Vlogger Review

VideoProc Vlogger | Is This the Best Free Video Editing Software?

While I was editing on DaVinci Resolve, I had to search for a feature. That’s how I accidentally came across a free software VideoProc Vlogger. I had never heard of this free editing software before and got curious after checking their website.

The VideoProc Vlogger website mentions so many features, including rendering in 4K without any watermark, that I thought it sounded too good to be true and I’d better check this out.

Instead of installing and trying it on my own, I decided to make a video recording my full experience. I expected nothing from this software because it was free, but I was shocked to see it had so many features – all for free. I took me some time to believe it that it was really free, but once I exported my first video I believed.

One of the features VideoProc Vlogger mentions is that it is very low on computer resources and can run on low-spec or computers with very little RAM. My current laptop is very high on RAM (32 GB), so it doesn’t matter. But this feature would come in handy when I install it on my Microsoft Surface Go 3 tablet laptop.

I am planning to buy Go 3 for travel purposes and because it’s low RAM, it won’t run a video editor like DaVinci Resolve. So VideoProc Vlogger will definitely come in handy in those scenarios.

My first-time experience with VideoProc Vlogger is in this video: Best Free Video Editing Software Depending on what type of response I get, I may do some more tutorial videos on VideoProc Vlogger in the future.

BOYA Miniature Condenser Smartphone Microphone Review

BOYA BY-M110 Omnidirectional 3.5mm TRRS Microphone

If you record videos on your smartphone, wind noise can be a nuisance. I was looking for a small smartphone mic that is easy to use and carry. Then I came across the BOYA BY-M110 smartphone mic.

The BOYA BY-M110 smartphone mic is a miniature omnidirectional 3.5mm TRRS for smartphone. It can also be used with a laptop, tablet and anything else with TRRS connectivity.

Weighing only 0.3 Ounces, this tiny microphone won’t add any extra weight. BOYA provided one wind muff made of foam. This is OK, but won’t prevent wind noise on a windy day. I was able to attach an additional DeadCat windshield and it reduced wind noise significantly.

Another feature I like is that it has a 180° Rotating Head, so you can change the direction of the mic according to your needs.

I paid about $30 CAD, which is not bad. I noticed on Amazon a very similar-looking mic, the BOYA A7H, selling for $8.95. I was not sure what the differences are and didn’t want to take a chance buying the cheaper one.

My phone has a 3.5mm audio input. Newer phones are getting rid of the 3.5mm input. If your phone only has a USB C, you need to buy a different version like the BOYA BY-M100UC ($39.95) or the BOYA BY-P4U ($32). Again, I was not quite sure what are the differences are between these two.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. This is not a paid or affiliated review. I purchased it with my own money. I have a YouTube review of the BOYA BY-M110 omnidirectional 3.5mm TRRS Microphone.

Muhle R89 Double Edge Safety Razor

The Muhle R89 is a closed-comb, German-made safety razor to give the best shave experience for both newbies and pros. Quality is what you will notice right away when you hold this razor. It features chrome-plated brass with a knurling handle that provides non-slip grip.

The price range is $50 CAD to $100 CAD. I noticed the Muhle costs less on other online retailers than Amazon, so check first before buying.

Edwin Jagger R86/R89 Double Edge Safety Razor

You will see the similarities with the Muhle R89 right away. This is not an accident. Edwin Jagger is made in England and they have a joint venture with Muhle, so some of their razor heads are identical.

This is another quality product and will provide a very similar shaving experience to the Muhle R89. The difference between the Edwin Jagger R86 and the R89 is the R89 has a rubberized handle and the R89 has a chrome handle.

Price range is $50 CAD to $60 and usually Amazon sells it at competitive prices.

Merkur 34C Double Edge Safety Razor

This is one of the most popular razors of all time and another quality razor made in Germany. Unlike the 2 razors above which are 3 pieces, the Merkur 34C is a two-piece razor.

The price range is $50 CAD to $60 and usually Amazon sells it at competitive prices.

I was very brief in this article. However, I have a video where you will visualize everything I wrote for better understanding. Link is Here:
