If you happen to follow my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/adawn, you may have noticed that the top banner or channel art has new looks, including my name logo.
In the past, I put up a simple banner β which was just a picture of a volcano from my Tagaytay trip in the Philippines. I always wanted to make it a professional-looking banner; however, I did not have the Photoshop or graphic-designing expertise to make it happen.
After trying a few do-it-yourself banner and logo making tools online, I gave up on the idea of making a professional-looking banner and a simple name logo by myself and decided to hire someone to do the job.
The Internet has opened up endless possibilities to connect those who are seeking professional-grade work with those who are delivering it. And itβs not difficult to find a banner and logo designer anywhere in the world sitting from the comfort of my own home.
I placed an ad on one of the freelancer outsource sites to make a name logo and banner for my YouTube channel and within 24 hours I had 30 designers bidding for my work at various rates. One interesting thing to mention is that the most expensive offer was eight times higher than the cheapest.
After a massive elimination process, I decided on a young designer from Ireland who seemed to understand what I am looking for at a reasonable price. And his works met my expectations or I can even say went beyond my expectations, of course after several modifications.
I will attach the final version banner with logo with this article and you can see how it looks on YouTube by visiting my channel. As my YouTube channel traffic is going up, this modern-looking logo and banner will be a perfect fit, standing alongside with other professional-grade channels.

Hello and welcome all. If you are reading this page, this is my first entry on this page but this is not my first site.
I maintain Canadaβs Personal Finance Website. Please do visit as it is a neat site with lots of articles and news feeds. You might ask, "why another site if you already have one?"
Good question. I always tried to make www.adawn.net a professional type of site and I was not able to express myself outside of a financial context. If you read the articles I posted, you will know what I am talking about.
But here, I am free to talk about anything and I donβt need to watch out for what I say. Donβt get me wrong. It does not mean I will be talking nonsense. You will get the same quality writing and useful information you have come to expect from A Dawn. Thatβs all for now. Thank you for reading.

I used to be one of those who never tried or understood Instagram, as I never bothered trying it. While I was in Myrtle Beach last week, I was sending some pictures to my nephew Shayan Mannan, who is an actor and a music director as well. His link: www.diseasemusic.com
He insisted I should open up an Instagram account to let the world see these pictures. He kept asking me to sign up and I eventually told him I might try it some other time just as a way to avoid signing up for it. I had no intention of opening up a new account only to share pics, as I have been more concentrating on YouTube posts about credit cards and rewards points these days.
However, on April 20th all of my reluctance changed. When I was enjoying the Atlantic, sitting on the balcony in my Oceanfront suite in Myrtle Beach, I donβt know how or why, but something made me sign up for Instagram on my smartphone. After posting my very first picture, I got hooked on Instagram and since then Iβve been posting new pics almost everyday, even after coming back to Toronto.
The ease of using this app and sharing pics with the world is hard to ignore. According to my nephew, βItβs better than Facebook or Twitter. Endless array of pictures from around the world.β
Here is the link to follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adawnjournal
I recommend you follow me, as I will be sharing pics from various walks of life and because I am a global traveler you will get to travel around the globe with me when I am traveling.

A VOIP App like Skype will give you very good voice quality, there is no doubt about it. However, whenever it comes to balance, getting good voice quality, and lower rates, Skype fails to make the list, as its rates are very high and unrealistic. Today, I will talk about 3 telecommunication apps you can use to make international calls on your tablet or smart phone at reasonable rates without compromising voice quality.
Ringo: Ringo is distinctive in that rather than using Wi-Fi it uses your local cell network on your phone to make international calls at incredibly low rates. I have not seen any other apps that beat Ringoβs low rates and still retain excellent voice quality. The only drawback of Ringo is that you wont be able to use it on your tablet, as it requires a cell network to make calls. However, as phones are getting bigger like tablets, most people will abandon their tablet at some point in the future, making Ringo a must-have app on your smart phone. Minimum load is $5.
OTO: OTO uses Wi-Fi to make calls and call quality is good enough to keep it as your Wi-Fi VOIP app. Rates are comparable with other VOIP apps and sound quality can beat most other Wi-Fi VOIP apps available. OTO also offers free international calling only from Korea. Minimum load is $10.
Google Hangouts: In the past, Hangouts voice quality was not that good. I noticed that it has improved a lot since then. The main advantage is if you are using Android phone, Hangouts is already on your phone. International rates are low and you can call anyone in Canada and USA for free.
Flying Business Class is a lifetime dream for some and it's a must (and not a big deal) for some others. When it comes to redeeming points, flying in Busines...
